The Vice-Chancellor of Coal City University Enugu, Professor Afam Icha-Ituma, on behalf of himself, his family and the entire CCU community has commiserated with Mr. Anayo Ngwaka, Head, ICT Unit of the University, on the passage of his beloved father, late Chief Ngwaka.
Professor Icha-Ituma, who attended the burial ceremony on Saturday, November 7, 2020, in Abor, Udi LGA of Enugu State said “death is the end of all mortals” as such “we should be prepared for it at all time”.
Addressing Mr. Anayo and his family, the Vice-Chancellor who was visibly saddened by the passage of Pa Ngwaka, a foremost community leader, added “this is indeed a painful moment for you and your family. The loss of a caring father brings pain and grief but I urge all members of your family to be consoled with the memories of the good life you shared with your father. Be comforted in the fact that your father lived a fulfilled life and rendered most laudable services to God and humanity during his life on earth, for which he will always be remembered”.
While sympathizing with the bereaved, Professor Icha-Ituma noted that Coal City University is a beneficiary of Pa Ngwaka’s human capital development effort. He informed the family of Late Chief Ngwaka that Mr Anayo’s dedication to duty, work ethics and contributions to Coal City University are clear testimonies of how well the deceased discharged his responsibilities as a father and educationalist.
“Please, accept the deepest condolences of the CCU community to you and your family and take solace in the knowledge that God’s will is supreme,” the VC concluded.
The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied to the burial ceremony by the Director of Academic Planning, Fr. Dr. Martin Odigbo, Architect Victor Ayozie among others.
