The Vice-Chancellor of Coal City University Enugu Prof. Afam Icha-Ituma reiterates his commitment to repositioning CCU as Africa’s Global University. He gave this indication while elaborating on the ongoing 2020/2021 undergraduate (fresh student, direct entry and transfer) admissions into all the programs of the university. He urged parents and the public to discover a life-changing education by enrolling their wards in Coal City University.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that “the university, situated in Enugu Nigeria, is globally focused, having all the requisites to becoming a world-class university; a journey it has already begun”. Referring directly to new admissions seekers, direct entry and transfer students, the erudite professor advised, “this is an opportunity to unlock your potential and transform your future. Follow your ambitions. Pursue your opportunities. Discover your path into, and be part of the, Coal City University success story.”
Students to benefit from inspirational learning from world-class scholars
The VC also seized the opportunity to harp on the exceptional academic exchange opportunities that distinguish the CCU from conventional university offerings. The world-class faculty paraded by the university offer inspirational teaching, culminating in high-quality educational experiences for the students of the university. Students also have the option of completing their studies in the university’s partner universities in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, in the process gaining globally recognized qualifications.
It would be recalled that the university provided excellent online leadership in the Nigerian university experience by matriculating its freshmen virtually during the pandemic. Academic activities, including research, teaching, learning and all examinations continued undisturbed online during the period, helping the university graduate its pioneer students on schedule and all other students progressed to the next level. These are some of the numerous global strides made by Coal City University, with its eyes always on the “Big Picture.”
Mrs. Abike Abidoye, a parent of a student of Coal City University commented, “thanks so much the management of CCU for your input in the lives of your students during the lock down. My daughter was thoroughly engaged by the online lectures, assignment and exam. Candidly you are distinct and ahead. I proudly tell people around us in Kaduna about your academic impact on your students. May l say kudos to the management of the school”. Another parent Pastor Obioha Madu added, “am impressed with the visionary strides of the VC and his team towards positioning CCU to offer our children and wards a world-class academic experience. God bless and strengthen you more.”
Also reacting to the learning developments in the university, a student, Gloria Onukwuba, said “I am bereft of words to express my experiences in the University owing to the lush meadow of the environment, sound academic teachers, and the partnership with other Ivy League universities.
Our lecturers are sound. Do you know the greatest here? Our university is partnering with others in Australia, the USA, and the UK; that is to say, I have the option of either completing my studies here or overseas and all that. I can’t say enough about Coal City University.”
