The Vice-Chancellor of Coal City University, Professor Afam Icha Ituma, has approved the appointment of Olisa Emeka Onoh as the Director of Enrolment Management and Partnerships, effective April 1, 2021. As Director of Enrolment Management and Partnerships, Olisa Emeka Onoh will provide leadership in the design and implementation of marketing, recruitment and enrollment practices that seek well-prepared students, promote retention to graduation and advance the mission and goals of Coal City University. He will have oversight of institutional marketing, communications and partnerships for the University.
Olisa Emeka Onoh holds a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin and a Masters in Business Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Diplomats and has an advanced diploma in telecommunications. He has attended several professional trainings both nationally and internationally. He brings with him over 12 years’ experience in customer service, marketing and operations in the telecommunications industry where he rose through the ranks to become a Manager in MTN Ikorodu, Lagos. Under his leadership in MTN Ikorodu, several sub branches were established to get MTN closer to the people especially in less developed communities including 3 touch points in his first year in office where he surpassed all targets and earned an AAA ratings. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, he was awarded the Regional Service Manager’s prize for one of the most outstanding Connects in 2018, making him one of the youngest to attain such feat. Olisa Onoh will bring his thoughtful, compassionate, and inclusive leadership to this critical position at the university.
