In tandem with the stable culture of Coal City University, Enugu as a huge facilitator of all ramifications of technological education, the university is pleased to host this year’s Google Developers’ Festival, tagged ‘Designing for Web3.’
The Vice-chancellor of the University, Prof. Afam Icha-Ituma, who welcomed the Google Developers Group team that paid him a courtesy visit in his office, stated that CCU has consistently been the hub of technology in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. He further made the following disclosures to the team:
Technology has been the bedrock of what we do at Coal City University. Our Computer Science department houses a multiple award-winning, and mostly sought- after programme. Our graduates are industry- ready as they have constantly been miles ahead of their peers wherever they go. We have also put together industrial leaders in ICT as part of our Faculty mentors who help in guiding and training our students. Our different partnerships have helped place our students as interns in blue-chip companies for first-rate, hands- on industrial experience. This our partnership with the Google Developers Group will surely enhance this drive for excellence through helping our students to becom the very best of developers and programmers.
Prof. Icha-Ituma will deliver the keynote speech for the event that promises to be the melting pot of technology in the South Eastern region of Nigeria.
Tochy Gabriel, who led the delegation of the Enugu team of the Google Developers Group, said Coal City University was set to become the educational backbone of the South East and that his team and CCU would achieve many amazing feats through collaboration. He further disclosed that scholarship awards awaited the winners of the slated design competition.
The event is set to bring together all top CEOs of Tech Companies, programmers, developers and tech enthusiasts within the South East.
